Welcome to TorYoga

Thank you for visiting my website. I have been teaching Iyengar yoga for 26 years to students of all abilities and ages and I love what I do.

My teaching style is friendly and encouraging and I aim to help each of you progress safely and at your own pace.

I gained my first certificate at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Maida Vale, London, in 2001. I’m certified to Level II and my training is ongoing and continual.

I am deeply indebted to my teacher, BKS Iyengar, and his family, who continue to support me and the network of Iyengar teachers worldwide. I have visited and studied at the ‘mother institute’, RIMYI in Pune, India, on 5 occasions.

I’m grateful too to all my students from whom I learn as much if not more as they from me!

I find the never-ending learning of yoga fascinating. I am daily inspired by the practice and its philosophy and the ability of yoga to bring about bodily health and mental peace.

Besides being a yoga teacher, I am also a documentary filmmaker/facilitator and have had a lifelong interest in Buddhist meditation. I live in Bridport, Dorset, UK and I love swimming in the sea.

Please contact me if you’re interested in joining a class. I look forward to helping you deepen your yoga practice, whatever your level of expertise and experience.

I am a member of IY (UK).
